- As I understand it, USR bought a DSP and controller chip from TI. They
- wrote their own software for this chip, then licensed that software back to
- TI. TI is now selling these same general purpose chips that USR bought
- along with the USR writen software to other companies as a chipset. I'm
- sure there are bugs in this chipset, after all, there are bugs in every
- modem ever made. It's too early to know whether or not it's really buggy.
- I've only heard reports from about four or five people, and yours has
- been the first negative post, so I'd say it can't be TOO bad..
